At Play It Forward, we believe in a world where toys live longer lives, bringing joy to all the families they meet while reducing the toy industry’s impact on landfill. We truly believe in the sentiment that one person's toy is another child's treasure. Founded in 2026 by university students James, Leigh and Sammy, Play It Forward was created after they found a need for a central hub of resources to help parents support sustainable play.  

Play It Forward shares the best ideas from the toy sustainability world, encouraging families to buy thoughtfully, care for toys during their time at home, and find responsible ways to pass them on when it's time for the toy to bring joy to another family.  

Play It Forward has collaborated with parents, kids, sustainability experts and businesses across Australia to provide resources which are practical, accessible, earth-centred, and budget friendly.
